Women in Transition
Six week class starts Thurs, Oct 8
Spread the word!

I was contacted by The Vine www.the-vine.us several months ago to develop a program for and about women in transition.  The Willows W.I.T. is the happy result.  Do you know any women who are feeling crunched in the middle third of their life? Change is inevitable, but how we integrate it can either leave us feeling bitter and lost or empowered and clear about what's next for us.  Beginning Thursday, October 8, from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m., we'll be exploring how to have the flexibility of a willow tree and the wisdom of wit to guide us through the many transitions of life.  The program is called
The Willows:  Women in Transition or The Willows W.I.T.

Sign up today because the program is limited to twelve women.  These changes can vary widely from a new job, recent move, divorce, birth of a child, the youngest leaving the nest,  a loss of a job, a new relationship, loss of a loved one, just to name a few.  How we respond will be the core discussion of this six week program on Thursday evenings.  Each week will have a separate theme based on change(external) vs. transition (internal).

Week One:  The Trauma of planned or unwelcomed change
Week Two:  Unexpected emotions.  Humor, really?
Week Three:  Beginning with the Ending.  Has the door really shut?
Week Four:  Incubation.  Who am I now that this ending has occurred?
Week Five: A Ritualized beginning of Support
Week Six:  Celebrating the Elements of a Successful Transition:  Grieving, Openness, Patience, Adaptibility, Candor, Receptivity, Peacefulness

Registration is required prior to the event. so we can order enough materials.
Email me at courageouschange@gmail.com or call me at (314) 560-1088.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Thursday, October 1.
The location is 12 minutes north of Clayton in beautiful downtown Ferguson.

Sponsored by The Vine www.the-vine.us  in collaboration with Shary Raske, the facilitator, www.courageouschange.net  participants will only have to pay $25 for the materials.  The class itself is free.  If you know a woman who needs help covering the costs of the materials, a few scholarships are available.

On a personal note, I am excited about offering this program to the St. Louis region.  There is an amazing sense of community created in groups like these, offering support, comfort, ideas, and even laughter!

Do me a favor and forward this to other women who may benefit.  Thanks!
