 A Message From Ron

We serve an AWESOME God!!! This ministry is truly Blessed.

* 1,300 campers attended the 9 weeks of summer camps. Up 7.3% from 2010.

* Weekend retreats increased 6.3% over 2010.

* Trail of Life Apprenticeships (TOLA) averaged over 4 persons.

* Over 1 mile of new fencing installed. (replaced barbed wire with barb-less wire)

* Vehicle lift installed.

* Welding Instruction beginning to take shape. Tables and metal chop-saw in place.

* Buses upgraded from 1978 vintage to 1999 .....NICE...!!!

* MF 235 Tractor with loader purchased/donated....$750...what a blessing!!!

* Three Eagle Scout projects:  Two Rail fence, Three Rail Fence and Gravel path...Thanks!!!!

It is difficult to express the level of appreciation I have for all the supporters, staff, and prayer partners for this ministry. I am so privilidged to be able to see Him actively working in the lives of campers, staff, TOLA and the volunteers. Even at that, I find myself grumbling about financial pressures and longing for the "why can't we's"...then He is so faithful in bringing me back to the CENTER and reminding me that he knows all my needs, I just need to be available and willing to be used by Him. Humbling...yes ...but also oh so AWESOME.

This year we will be focusing on Summer Staff Support.

Due to the economic environment we have encountered the last three years, our Leadership Staff has gone the extra mile by receiving no monetary compensation for their hard work and dedication. Summer youth staff is over 90% volunteers who log over 10,000 hours each summer. Many of these OUTSTANDING young leaders are high school and college age students.  Our desire is to provide them with some level of compensation to help with car expenses, college bills and etc. so they can continue to serve the ministry here at Royal Ridges and not be forced to seek paying jobs elsewhere as so many of our youths must do.  The auction proceeds will help accomplish this objecvtive.

Our OBJECTIVE is $150 per week for every Senior Staff Memeber that serves at Royal Ridges.

The actual level Royal Ridges will be able to provide will depend on the auction receipts.  This will be a pool of funds which will be used for staff up to $150 per Senior Staff per week they serve.  

Staff members are encouraged to invite friends to the Auction.  If they invite you...or you know of a specific staff person you want to "support", then you may indicate that persons name when purchasing your ticket to the Auction.  If you name a staff member during ticket purchase, $5 of your ticket price will be reserved for that staff person and then added to the amount they receive from the pool distribution. 

If you would like to help Shawn with any part if this event, please contact her.  This is a HUGE task and we are so blessed to have her leadership, commitment and enthusiasm.
