MERRY CHRISTMAS
2009 brought challenges to almost every segment of our country. While it isn't much fun to experience those challenges, it is comforting to know that God is in control and knows exactly what to do. The Board of Directors and Staff of Royal Ridges thanks you for your continued prayers and support of this ministry. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

A Message from Ron Isn't it amazing how God works? 2009 was the worst year financially we have ever encountered at Royal Ridges....yet God choose this year to bring huge blessings. Spring: He provided experienced, maturity, staff with a HUGE heart for God. Summer : He led over 1,000 campers to RRR. They had fun, were safe, learned about God and were mentored by Godly staff with tender hearts. Fall: The beginning of a joint ministry with Transitional Youth. After 15 years it became a reality. Currently two apprentices are in the program. There will be a total of five young men in the Trail of Life Apprentice Program by January 1, 2010. Reaching out and serving others 52 weeks a year. AWESOME!!! Winter: Our first ever fund-raising dinner was a HUGE success. 160 people attended. Donations received totaled $8,000 AND a $2,000 matching fund challenge was presented. So potentially we could raise an additional $4,000. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE A YEAR END DONATION AND DOUBLE YOUR MONEY, JUST WRITE "MATCHING FUNDS" ON YOUR CHECK when you send it in. Yes, God is in control. He Loves us, Blesses us and Cares for us. May we pause during this Christmas Season to count our blessings and thank God for the birth of His Son Jesus Christ.

SUMMER CAMP CHANGES
The difficult economy has caused us to re-think everything we are doing at Royal Ridges. We strive to provide fun, safe, and Godly camps that have a favorable price/value relationship. Here is a summary of the changes. Details can be found on the web site. 1) We will be offering monthly price specials for on-line purchases. They will be limited in number and the closer to camp, the smaller the price discount. 2) Scholarships will be limited to week#10 mini camps. The exceptions are the family friendly discounts, Mission/Scholarship Rides and Old/new scholarships. 3) Day Horse Camp has been expanded to 8 years-16 years of age. It will only be offered for 5 weeks plus in the mini camps week #10. This camp is now a multi-level riding camp. An economical alternative to Resident Horse Camp. 4) Day Adventure Camp is NEW. It is the day version of the overnight Adventure Camp. Ages and activities vary from week to week. This is designed to be an economical alternative to Resident Adventure Camp. 5) RR Camps have changed. GRR and BRR have been eliminated, the format of BRR has been adopted and they are now basically a horse elective at Resident Adventure Camp which is co-ed (boys and girls). 6) Housing has been moved to the upper camp only. We will not be using the Adventure Camp tents this year. Everyone will be staying in the upper camp cabins. 7) Early payment incentives have been removed. You will need to purchase your "T" shirt this year.
